This fascinating story about the adventures of the boys that parents allowed to settle in the forest and test the life of real Indians, written by the famous Canadian writer and illustrator, one of the founders of the scout movement E. Seth-Tompson (1860-1946), is already of interest among many generations of young readers .
The time spent in the forest not only gave the boys an invaluable experience in acquiring the necessary everyday skills - from the construction of a hut and manufacturing weapons, sewing clothes and recognizing hunting paths, but also made them brave in the face of this danger, taught to forgive and appreciate them comrades, rejoice at their successes. The meeting with vagabonds, predatory animals, vicissitudes of nature made them stronger, more ingenious and more resilient, the boys turned into worthy and courageous people.
And looking at their amazing life, adults also joined them with enthusiasm and resolved many of their problems that have been accumulating for years.
