This book is part of the international and inter -university project, representing the works of German -speaking authors on the history of Russian Orthodox emigration. Russian scientists have created a translation, as well as historical and general church comments on the book of George Zayd. The translation is made with the kind of author"s kind consent. The text of the German scientist is complemented by a detailed analysis of the historical situation of the 1920-1930s in Russia and Europe, as well as information about the life of Russian Orthodox people in their homeland and in emigration. The book includes materials from the Foundation of the Bishop Synod of the ROCS (GARF) and the official magazines of the foreign church - `church Vedomosti` and` Church Life`. Gernot Zayda (in Orthodoxy George) was born in 1942 in Berlin, studied Eastern European history and Slavicism at the universities of Hamburg, Vienna, Budapest and Munich, in 1968 he received a doctoral degree.
Author of several scientific monographs and dozens of publications in periodicals. O. George for ten years served as the second priest in the Munich Cathedral of the Holy New Martyr and Confessors of the Russian, as well as in the church of St. Michael Mikhail in Munich-Ludwigfeld and fed the community in Ingolstadt
