Ghost-ghost "(1837-1839) of an English writer, naval officer and traveler, a classic of adventure prose by Frederick Marriete, who became famous under the pseudonym, Captain Marriet, is almost the most famous literary variation of the old legend about the “Leta Dutch”, a mysterious sailing ship without a crew without a crew Which for centuries wanders around the ocean expanses, never pestering the shore and terrifying navigators. The main hero of the novel, the young sailor Philip Vanderdecene, will have to remove a terrible spell from his father-capitalized, who once recklessly gave a fatal vow on a sacred relic, and then, being in swimming, in a moment of despair he erected a blasphemy against the Lord God and thereby condemned himself and his own and his own. The team for eternal wanderings, however, is not easy to get rid of the curse at all ... The novel is published in a modern translation, without abbreviations, the publication includes complete sets of illustrations for the “ghost ship” created by remarkable Czech artists Wenceslav
