The French writer Louis Bussenar is the author of numerous adventure novels, not inferior to the best works of Jules Verne. Their distinctive features: a wealth of fantasy, a sense of humor, romance of distant countries and extensive scientific material.
“Dyaters of Diamonds” are the most famous novel by the author, telling about the adventures of three Frenchmen who went on a deadly journey to the very heart of South Africa with the hope of taking possession of fabulous treasures.
In Russian, the novel came out with many gaps, inaccuracies and omissions. For this publication, the transfer was re -edited and carefully distorted with the original. We can say that the novel “Dyatnikov Dyatniki” first comes to readers at the full form, accompanied by a set of illustrations from the weekly Journal des Voyages, where it was published from March 4, 1883 to February 24, 1884. The publication is accompanied by a detailed comment, articles about the life and work of the author, as well as several Bussenar stories, first translated into Russian
