The French writer Louis Bussenar is the author of numerous adventure novels, translated into two dozen languages of the world and not inferior to the best works of Jules Verne. Their distinctive features: a wealth of fantasy, a sense of humor, romance of distant wanderings and extensive scientific material. The real edition included the famous novel about the adventures of the young Frenchman Jean Grandier, nicknamed the captain of the Servov-head and his faithful friends in South Africa during the Anglo-Broke War. Having created a detachment of volunteers, consisting of the same brave boys as himself, Jean Grandier goes to South Africa to fight against the English invaders, towards incredible adventures. The published text of the novel was disturbed with the original and edited with the restoration of previously missed fragments. The book is accompanied by an extensive commentary
