The reader is offered the second edition of the famous composition of the Greek author of the mid -II century BC. e. From Macedonia, about which it is known that by the time of the beginning of the Parthian war (161-162), despite his advanced age, he continued to act as a lawyer in imperial ships in Rome and it was there for a rather short period that wrote an essay on military tricks Under the name "strategists", which subsequently brought it world fame.
This essay is essentially a talented compilation, which, however, in no way reduces the significance of this book for historians, since the evidence given by polyhen is sometimes unique, because many of the sources used by the author "strategist ", have not survived.
