This Textbook was developed on the course of discipline "Fundamentals of combat use of missile troops and artillery" and is intended for general-staff officers, artillery officers, institutes with a military department, cadets of military schools and students of military academies as the main and additional material when studying the military disciplines.
The relevance of the manual is that the materials set forth in the training manual are based on the provisions of the new "combat charters of the ground forces" (part 2: battalion, company and part 3: platoon, department, tank), and new" Combat Charter of Artillery "(part 2: division, battery, platoon, department/calculation) The manual discusses both the general provisions of the management of artillery and the combat use of this kind of troops in various types of modern combined arms fight in the form of control of artillery fire. The manual reflects new fire tasks in artillery, which the combined -arms commander should perform during tactical exercises with combat firing, and also introduces the procedure for setting tasks and targets when fulfilling planned and non -planned goals. The section of artillery fire and the use of artillery with unmanned aerial vehicles are presented in the training manual. Examples given in the training manual reflect the experience of using artillery in the local wars of our time: in Afghanistan, the Caucasus and in Syria.
