Margarita Nikolaevna Kozhina is a well-known Russian scholar, the creator of the theory of functional stylistics, one of the founders of speech studies as a major direction in modern communicative linguistics, and the organizer of the Perm Stylistic School. Her selected works cover the stages of formation and development of Russian stylistics from the 1960s to the first decade of the 21st century. The author's theoretical positions are related to a dynamic approach to speech, studying the regularities of language functioning in different spheres of communication. Many of the tasks set by M.N. Kozhina and the ideas expressed by her have not yet been developed in speech studies and require the efforts of new generations of researchers. This work is intended for students, graduate students, teachers of philological faculties, and all those interested in the issues of Russian stylistics.
