The Irkutsk "troika" is the only institution of strict regime among the six Russian colonies for former employees of law enforcement agencies. Here, far from Moscow, convicts sentenced for the most high-profile cases are brought to serve their punishment: murderers, those who attacked law enforcement officers, those who fired at random passersby, robbers, major bribe-takers, drug dealers. The average length of stay here ranges from five to 25 years. Former employee of the Main Directorate for the Execution of Punishments, Alexander Naumov, was given the opportunity to talk to these people "from under the chase," as they call themselves. Their names and surnames have been changed. The rest is as in real life.
