Readers are offered a textbook of the Spanish language, which provides an in-depth description of the grammatical structure of modern Spanish in the field of morphology. The textbook implements a systemic-functional approach to teaching grammar, in which the study of each grammatical phenomenon involves mastering its form, meanings, and conditions of use in a specific speech situation, determining its place in the language's grammatical system, and revealing its synonymous relationships with other phenomena. Special attention is paid to the specific features of individual grammatical phenomena of the Spanish language, controversial issues in Hispanic studies, or underdeveloped problems of Spanish grammar. The material is illustrated with examples from literary sources of Spanish and Latin American authors. The book is recommended primarily for students of philological faculties of universities and pedagogical institutes. It can also be useful for all readers studying the Spanish language.
