According to the author, during the Soviet period, Russian music entered a period of its highest flourishing. It was during this period, which liberals refer to as 'totalitarian' and unsuitable for the full expression of creative individuality, creative thought, and initiative, that the maximum number of masterpieces in the entire history of Russian music was created. Despite this, the work of many geniuses of the Soviet compositional school is not well known to the wider musical community today.
The book meets the requirements of the current Federal State Educational Standard for Higher Vocational Education and the professional qualification requirements.
