The collection of documents is dedicated to the political relations between the USSR and the Mongolian People's Republic (MNR) during key periods in the history of the two countries, which followed the almost simultaneous passing of their long-time leaders - I.V. Stalin and K. Choibalsan. The documents reflect not only the political processes that took place in the 1950s and the first half of the 1960s in the MNR, but also the rapidly developing Soviet-Mongolian ties in the economy, science, culture, and social sphere during that time. The foundation of the collection consists of recently declassified documents from the archives of the Russian State Archive of Contemporary History, as well as other Russian and Mongolian archives. The majority of the documents presented in the publication are being published for the first time. This edition is intended for historians, political scientists, humanities professors at higher education institutions, as well as a wide range of readers interested in the history of Russia and Mongolia, and international relations in the second half of the 20th century.
