The most famous work of the writer was the treatise "Sovereign", originally published in Russia under the names "Prince" and "Ruler". Makiavelli created the doctrine of a consistently secular state free from church morality. He believed that in the struggle for the consolidation of the state any means: violence, deception, betrayal. The term Makiavelism emerged later began to designate a politician neglecting the laws of morality. However, today many of the author"s positions are perceived by themselves as well as having found their incarnation in the history of the 20th century.
The book also includes the brilliant treatise of Nikcolo Makiavelli On Military Art, who stunned contemporaries with a tough and practical approach not only to military tactics, but and to strategy
