Pianist Nina Kavtaradze was born in Moscow, graduated from the Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory in piano performance, and then from the Moscow Conservatory, where her teacher was Lev Oborin. He wrote about his student: "She is a musician with talent of the highest level, great artistic depth, and a bright individuality." In 1975, she moved to Denmark (due to marriage) and continued her concert career, performing solo concerts and orchestral concerts in most European countries and in America with renowned conductors such as Mariss Jansons, Yuri Ahronovitch, Leif Segerstam, Kurt Sanderling, Sir Charles Groves, Lamberto Gardelli, and many others. Her recordings include not only well-known but also rarely performed works, such as the concerto by Herman D. Koppel, awarded the Danish Music Awards 'P2-Prize', or albums with complete collections of works by M. Mussorgsky and R. Wagner. The latter was included by the German magazine 'Neue Musikzeitung' among the top ten discs in the world for the year 2000. In her book, Nina Kavtaradze shares her impressions of interacting with the masters of art, revealing their working methods and interactions with others, portraying their appearance and character traits, sometimes the most unexpected ones. The book will be equally interesting to professional musicians and readers not familiar with the world of music, as it is written vividly and engagingly, with a great sense of humor.
