The demonstration material 'Sounds and Letters' is designed for joint work of a teacher and children aged 5-6 years in lessons on teaching literacy elements. This set is an appendix to the manual 'Development of sound-letter analysis in children aged 5-6' and to the workbooks 'From A to Z' and 'Remembering Letters'. Their combined use will contribute to the sequential assimilation by children of representations and concepts of sounds and letters of the Russian alphabet, the development of phonemic perception, and the teaching of initial reading skills. It is used as methodological support for the author's program 'From Sound to Letter. Formation of sound analytical-synthetic activity of preschoolers as a prerequisite for literacy education', but can be used by teachers working with other programs, as well as by teachers of correctional-developmental classes and speech therapists.
