"Sounds" - an album of poems in prose and xylographs of Vasily Vasilyevich Kandinsky, published by Rainhard Piper in German in 1912. Contemporaries highly appreciated this experiment of the creator of infinitely art. "From pure being, he called into this world that previously unheard of beauty. In the verses there is such a order of words and phrases that before poetry did not exist, ”Hans Arp wrote about the album. However, in the artist’s homeland, the book remained almost unknown, although the initial version was created by him in Russia. This edition used texts that were part of the Russian, unrelated, album version, the same that were added by Kandinsky to the German edition, transferred to Boris Sokolov. The afterword tells in detail about the history of the album and further poetic experiments of its author. The artist-former of the publication Sergei Egorov with maximum accuracy reproduced the features of the German edition and developed a special Cyrillic font for the book. The album has 38 texts, 44 black and white and 13 colored engravings on a tree
