The topic "perception" in this book is considered from various sides. The basis is taken by a multi-faceted, interdisciplinary approach that combines linguistic and literary aspects with cultural and historical and social.
In the first part, the problem of the continuity of the hearing philology in Russia is primarily in the fundamental work of S.I. Kornstein. The relationship of the theory of poems with the theory of the declamination is shown. Particular attention is paid to the reading of Pushkin, Gogol, Dostoevsky and Block.
In the "applications" include issues of declaignation in the light of sociolinguistics: the introduction of artistic reading in the school system of Russia is being investigated thanks to the efforts of Boborakina, Ostrogorsk, Korovyakov, Chernyshev and others, and also indicates the importance of international relations in this process. A description of the culture of public and family reading is given, the role of the reader-declamators is shown, the story of the concepts "declamation", "artistic" and "expressive" reading, "live" and "sounding" word are traced. A separate chapter is devoted to the fate of choral reading in Russia - "collective declamation".
