Mikhail Alekseevich Kuzmin (1872–1936) — Russian poet, prose writer, playwright, translator, critic, and composer of the Silver Age, the first master of free verse in Russia.
In the current edition, three of Kuzmin's chamber-vocal cycles are published for the first time: "Il Canzoniere" based on the author's own poetry and two notebooks of Shakespeare's Sonnets ("Sonnets of Shakespeare") on the original texts of the English poet.
The publication is based on autographs stored in the Russian National Library (OR RNB. F. 400. № 46–48).
