The composer, violinist and teacher Ferdinand David (1810-1873) is one of the largest representatives of the German violin school of the 19th century. Along with a friend and ally, F. Mendelsson F. David revived in performing practice a number of forgotten works of composers of the Baroque era. Within the walls of the Leipzig Conservatory, he brought up more than one generation of outstanding musicians, including J. Joachim, A. Wilhelmi. David"s composer style was formed under the influence of Mendelssohn, in the creative baggage of the musician - works for various instruments and compositions, among which works for the violin are not the last place. The publication included impromptu in the form of a waltz. 40 and salon duet Op. 25.
