Symphony No. 5 Op. 67 Beethoven is one of the most performed works of the world musical heritage. Its premiere took place in December 1808 at the Vienna Theater and was not too successful: the audience quite coldly accepted the new composition of the composer. But already the second performance, held in Leipzig, laid the foundation for the success of the symphony. The essay became a kind of “synopsis” to Beethoven’s whole work, concentrating in itself the most typical features of the style of the Vienna classic. This publication is a “pocket” version of the score and is addressed to a wide range of professionals and music lovers.
