"Stabat Mater" is a medieval sequence consisting of two parts: the first is dedicated to the suffering of the Virgin Mary by Jesus Christ, the second - the appeal of her sinner, praying a saving paradise.
Among the most famous works on this text is "Stabat Mater" for soprano, Alta Solo and string quartet with the organ of the Italian composer J. Pergolets (1710-1736) Cantata consists of 13 parts. Pergolets boldly approached the interpretation of the genre and first introduced the major parts into "Stabat Mater".
The publication is addressed to professional musicians, students of music schools and conservatories, as well as amateurs.
