The Polish pianist and teacher Theodor Leshetitsky (1830-1915) raised the galaxy of brilliant performers, including A. N. Esipova, I. Paderevsky, O. S. Gabrilovich and others. For more than a quarter century, the musician lived in St. Petersburg, where he led an active concert and Pedagogical activity. A significant part of Leshetitsky’s composer heritage is piano music. In most works, the salon orientation prevails: nevertheless, in each of them Leshetitsky sought to use a variety of pianistic techniques that contribute to the development of the executor’s apparatus.
