Sergey Mikhailovich Lyapunov (1859-1924)-Russian composer, pianist, conductor, teacher. Its professional formation began in music classes at the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the RMO under the leadership of V. Yu. Valluan. After graduating from the Moscow Conservatory, Lyapunov moved to St. Petersburg, becoming a student of M. A. Balakirev. The composer’s legacy is mainly composed of piano works, among which plays of various genres combined into cycles occupy an important place.
