Ottorino Respigi (1879-1936) is a composer who occupies a separate position in Italian musical art. In his style, the features of classicism, late romanticism, French impressionism, the influence of the programmatic symphonism of R. Strauss and the orchestral handwriting of N. Rimsky-Korsakov organically melted. In 1932, along with the unit-minded composers, Drypigi published a manifesto, in which he opposed the rationalism of modernist movements and calling for strengthening ties with national traditions. Two cycles of plays for violin and piano fully affirm the aesthetic positions of the composer. Being a violinist, respigs brilliantly use the technical and timbre capabilities of the tool.
