The organ heritage of I. S. Bach (1685-1750) is extensive: the composer turned to his favorite tool throughout the whole creative path. I.K. Boglitsky (1799-1865), St. Petersburg pianist, organist and teacher, took an active part in the popularization of Bach"s organ music by its transfiguration for piano. The real edition included preludes and fugues in the arrangement of Bogolitsky.
