The central place in the work of Schuman is occupied by piano cycles. Each of them, as if a small encyclopedia of the Sumanian piano style, where brilliant bravura plays are replaced by penetrated lyrical miniatures.
Three cycles were included in the collection: youthful butterflies - the first Suyte composition of Schumann, the exquisite arabesques and children"s scenes - the adult"s view of the touching world of the child with his fears, experiences and joys.
plays from these cycles, along with the well -known "album for youth," are included in the repertoire of students of musical educational institutions. However, the high artistic value of the published cycles makes them attractive for mature musicians, who often include them in their solo concerts.
