The organ heritage of I. S. Bach (1685–1750) is extensive: the composer turned to his beloved tool throughout the whole creative path. In a genre diversity, choral preludes occupy a special place (more than 150) I.K. Bogolitsky (1799–1865), St. Petersburg pianist, organist and teacher, took an active part in the popularization of Bach’s organ music by its transference for piano.
