"Son of the Regiment" is a well-known story by the Soviet writer Valentin Kataev about one of the most difficult periods in the history of our country - the Great Patriotic War. The central character of the story is Vanya Solntsev, a boy who lost his family and is forced to take care of himself. In the forest, he is accidentally found by Soviet soldiers who bring him to an artillery regiment. The regiment becomes his new home, where he finds friends and a second family.
