The monograph is dedicated to the centenary history of the Italian Socialist Party. Socialists are represented in the context of a complex, peculiar party-political system of the country as part of the left-wing forces, which was closely connected with the European and world socialist movement. Based on the achievements of domestic and foreign, primarily Italian, historiography, the author tried to interpret such a phenomenon as "Italian socialism", on the basis of official publications, books, speeches, correspondence, and the most vivid leaders of socialists.
