The real book of Volkonsky is a continuation of his previous work "Multipolar world: ideology and economics" (M., Book World, 2014) The new book of Volkonsky is an attempt to identify the main goals and directions of development, which will characterize the history of the XXI century, how its appearance will differ from the XX century. The century XX was the century of wars and revolutions. Is it possible to expect that in the 21st century, humanity will be able to avoid a big war, that it will be worthy of the highest achievements of its past history? The author shows that optimistic scenarios of the future are more likely. His optimism, as he writes, is associated not only with the strengthening of Russia and the solution of its internal problems, but to a large extent with the weakening of the globalization policy in American, with the change in the alpopular geopoly system to a multipolar system that is happening before our eyes. The world of the 21st century will be more to the world of cooperation than forced imposition of its ideology, the world of conservatives than aggressors and revolutionaries. But how can this new, multipolar system arise (and it arises!) In conditions when terrorist organizations are intensified, fascist manifestations are multiplied and more and more destructive types of weapons appear when the tension of the political confrontation of the Western powers with Russia and China is growing? Will the United States find a place worthy of their achievements and a role in New Olympus? Can a multipolar world “forgive” America an unbearable debt of $ 20 trillion?
The main condition that gives confidence in this is the activation of rethinking of spiritual and ideological attitudes that were previously considered implacable (communism and class society, science and religion, plan and market), transfer of attention from the struggle of thesis and antithesis - to synthesis to synthesis .
