This textbook is intended for the study of the disciplines “Woods” and “Forestry Management” in technical schools and colleges in the preparation of students in the specialties “Woodworking Technology”, “Technology of Forestering”, “Forest and Forest Park”.
The textbook discusses the issues of wood structure at the level of chemical elements, substances, individual cells, at the macroscopic level and level of the tree, the main physical and mechanical properties of wood, the patterns of their changes and the factors affecting them are dismantled. Briefly described the basic characteristics of the wood of the main wood. In detail the vices of wood and methods of their measurement are considered.
