Vladimir Sergeevich Bushin (1924-2019) - an outstanding Soviet and Russian writer, publicist, journalist, public figure. It belonged to a small part of the Soviet intelligentsia, which did not surrender its ideals after the collapse of the USSR and fought against desovetization.
In his book, sarcastically, brightly and witty, he shows a whole gallery to all familiar images of Putin"s time, including the highest leaders of the state. Constantly comparing them with the leaders of the USSR, such as Lenin and Stalin, V.S. Bushin shows the fundamental differences of Soviet rule and the current one, the situation in the country then and now, the state of society and culture.
