The monograph examines a special, previously not released genre of German emigrant literature - an emigrant novel. On the material of the creativity of emigrant authors E.M. Remarca, L. Feikhtwanger and K. Mann reconstruct the main features of the artistic world of this genre, describes the special world of emigration inherent in all its samples. The key to its understanding is special spatial coordinates that demonstrate value inversion in relation to the mythological model of the world. Spatial transformations have an appropriate effect on the plot organization of an emigrant novel, in which continuity in relation to archaic plot schemes and their modification due to the specifics of space are traced. The genre community of the emigrant novels of three German writers is revealed
