In his new book, Judith Batler proves that the ethics of non -violence should contact a wide political struggle for social equality. One of the modern challenges that the policy of non -violence is faced with is the existence of a discrepancy in opinion about what to consider violence and non -power. Batler claims that non -violence is often mistaken for passive practice or for coexistence with the authorities, but in fact non -power is an ethical position located in the thick of the political field.
