On the territory of modern Romania (in Wallachia), the printing began in 1508. The first Valash printing house released only three editions - the ministry of 1508, Oktoh 1510 and the four -gospel of 1512. They played a significant role in the spread of education in the Slavic lands and served as a model for the sample for the Slavic lands other Slavic publishers. The copies that have survived to our time are described. The artistic decoration of the first Balash publications has been studied.
