This book is an extraordinary study, methods of analysis and presentation of the Russian revolution. The first part is devoted to the place of the Russian revolution in the context of other revolutions of the new and modern times, the laws of revolutions as a kind of phenomena, their classification, reasons and consequences. In addition to the classic example of the Great French Revolution, a comparative analysis of the processes and stages of the Russian revolution with revolutions that occurred almost parallel with it is used: Iranian (1905–1911), Turkish (1908–1923) and a revolution in Germany (1918–1923) This makes it possible to actually observe the same phenomenon in modern, but various cultural realities that demonstrates a very close development of events. The examples considered indicate that the revolution is objective, but not completely determined. Various subjective and objective factors can change the course of events and create variability of development. At the same time, the internal logic of the phenomenon will still produce the same templates. In the second part, the issues of revolutionary ideology, its continuity in all revolutions, as well as the problems of revolutionary terror are understood. A separate issue is the problem of the legitimacy of the Russian revolution for the revolutionaries themselves and for the whole society. A set of methods, tools and tactics, which were formed in the arsenal of revolutionaries to the Russian revolution and were used in it to form social support and implement the coup, are allocated into a separate research chapter. The third part of the study “Russian Revolution: Events and People” is devoted to the subjective factor of the Russian revolution: the actions of people and parties in the political struggle, but here the logic of the presentation is not subordinated to the chronological principle, but through key issues and problems
