Viktor Mikhailovich Chernov (1873-1952) is the author of works on sociology and the agrarian issue, one of the founders and the chief theoretician of the Socialist -Revolutionary Party, the Minister of the Provisional Government. In 1918 he was elected chairman of the Constituent Assembly. In his book, he recalls the revolutionary days of shocked Russia, those events in the formation of which he took a direct part. It sharply accuses the tsarist power, and then the “democracy” for talkativeness and destruction, reproaches in power, and the block with the cadets who dictate their conditions calls unreal and harmful. It is expressed about the October Revolution of 1917, which he categorically did not accept
