For the first time, the magazine version of the book “Shlyakhta and We” was published in the May issue of our contemporary magazine for 2002 and this publication was so stirred up by Polish public opinion that Moscow News wrote in June of the same year: “Poland is seething from the article of the chief editor Our contemporary. Polish newspapers and magazines began a discussion about the most probably Antipolsk pamphlet since Dostoevsky <...> Kanyaev has been scolding on the pages of all major newspapers, but they recognize that this is the most thorough attempt to cover the Polish-Russian theme. ”
In Russia, the book became a historical bestseller, published and reprinted in 2002, in 2003 and in 2005, and in 2006 was published in the Algorithm Publishing House called Russian Polonaise. The current publication, compared with the previous ones, is supplemented by verses by Russian and Polish poets, starting with Pushkin and Mickevich about the “dispute between the Slavs between themselves”, fresh chapters written in the footsteps of the dramatic Russian-Polish events that occurred in recent years, as well as new discoveries of historians, as well as new discoveries of historians, relating to the Covenant of Molotov-Ribbentrop, Katyn, the Warsaw uprising, the death of the Polish aircraft near Smolensk, etc.
the author on all issues gives a tough but convincing rebuff to professional falsifiers of both Polish and domestic
