The book of the leading expert of the Center for Military-Political Studies of MGIMO, Doctor of Political Sciences M.V. Aleksandrova is devoted to the study of the experience of reforming the defense industry of the United States in 1991-1999. The work considers the reasons for the transition of the US government to the restructuring of the national military -industrial complex, the purpose of such a restructuring, its mechanisms and the general results of the reform.
The book is unique in its kind, since a comprehensive analysis of the reform of the American military -industrial complex after the Cold War was not carried out by Russian researchers.
