In the monograph, a socio-philosophical analysis of modern social mythology was carried out as a system interacting with a society affecting its development. The work considers the features of the functioning of the system of social mythology, the transformation of its components, the mutual influence of social mythology and society. An original vision of the place of social mythology is proposed in the structure of public life, where in each sphere of society the myth is able to function in a unique way. A comparison of social mythology and ideology is carried out, the functioning of social myths in the political space is investigated
