The book of the famous Russian political philosopher Alexander Shchipkov "Social Preparation" is a bright, holistic, deep and understandable to the ordinary reader Analysis of the life of modern society. The author writes about the “turn to tradition” that has begun in the world, about the reassessment of the role of tradition in the life of a modern person. The author’s view is based on systemic traditionalism, in which tradition does not appear to be a set of certain public institutions or ideals of the past, but by the mechanism of sociocultural broadcast and continuity. The author claims that the future of Russia and that part of the world that will choose a social, and not familiar ethnocultural traditionalism, will inevitably be associated with the construction of a new model of society, based simultaneously on the idea of social justice and adherence to traditional values.
In the ideological compensation of the author, one can find a number of references to the gospel tradition of social Christianity, to the heritage of John Chrysostom and his school, to manifestations and activities of the Russian underground Social Christian movement, as well as to a wide range of ideas of modern philosophical and political thought - from The movements of "radical orthodoxy" to the school of world-system analysis
