A postal commentary on the Singapores on Mediation Convention 2018 was written by a participant in the text in the working group II of the Unihistral, a Russian lawyer, a mediator and an arbitrator on his background records. Materials in applications allow you to track the path from the general concept of the document on the recognition and execution of settlement agreements concluded as a result of international commercial mediation, until the final version of the document. The text of the comments systematically compare the two conventions-the Singapore Convention on Mediation and the New York Convention of 1958 on the recognition and execution of foreign arbitration decisions. The author analyzes the influence of the latter on the content of the Singapore Convention, caused by these difficulties and obstacles to the wide recognition of the Convention. In the preface, the pattern of the emergence of the Singapore Convention is substantiated, and the prospects of expanding the circle of its participants and the expected difficulties in its direct application are described in conclusion.
