Relations with Israel are a special part of the Soviet Middle East policy. In the book with the involvement of published documents, archival materials and memoir literature, the reasons for the breakdown of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1967 are analyzed, the nature of the Soviet and Israeli policy against each other for two followed decades. The process of normalizing relations between the two countries began to develop only in the second half of the 1980s in the context of perestroika and publicity in the USSR, with important changes in the Soviet foreign policy.
