In the book “Second Chance”, the author gives a deep analysis of the foreign policy activities of three US presidents-Bush Sr., Clinton and Bush Jr., who, after the disappearance of the two-pool world, “global leaders”. According to Z. Brzezinsky, during the time that passed after the Cold War, the United States has already emerged a significant part of its power, but still possess sufficient potential to use, despite opposing factors, the second and last chance of global leadership.
In the book “America and the World” Z. Brzezinsky and B. Skokucroft are trying to find the answer to the most sick question, why is superpower number one who did not know competitors after the collapse of the USSR and considered the stronghold of freedom and tolerance, suddenly became an object of general hatred and distrust?
According to the authors of the book, changes in relation to the world to the United States are not the result of administrative errors of any particular American government. Not at all. They believe that the “nature of power itself” is changing.
