The monograph is devoted to the history of the literary organization "Nikitinsky subbotniks". Based on archival materials, events that preceded the First World War, then the Age of the Civil War, including in the territory that were not controlled by the Soviet government, and then the 1920-1930s are analyzed.
Particular attention is paid to the specifics of domestic publishing models, typologies of the writer"s communities of the Soviet and Soviet eras, analysis of political, legal and commercial attitudes that have caused the displacement of private investigative initiative since 1917, its legislative resolution during the so -called new economic policy and the subsequent prohibition of prohibition . In connection with the history of the "Nikitinsky subbotniks", episodes of the creative biographies of A. Bely, M. Bulgakov, M. Tsvetaeva and many other writers are considered.
The book is addressed to philologists, historians, culturalists, as well as a wide circle of readers interested in the history of Russian literature
