A series of books “Russian Jews in America” began with the publication of the first volume in 2005. The peculiarity of this publication is that many of its publications are devoted to our contemporaries, representatives of the third wave of emigration. A series of books about immigrants from Russia in America, begun by the Israeli center Russian Jewry in Abroad.
In the readers of the 19th book “Russian Jews in America” (Reva), materials are grouped in the following sections: “History”, “Literature”, “Art” and “Events and People”. The section “History” presents an article by E. Putyatova “Sources on the history of Jewish emigration from Russia to South America (beginning of the 20th century)” and the sightseeing article of W. Miller “From the history of Soviet intelligence in the United States”.
In the section “Literature”, an article by M. Mishurovskaya on the reflection of the personality and work of M. Bulgakov on the pages of the “New Journal” in 1942 - 1969, in addition to this, E. Zaitlin, “emigration as a dream, was published. From the diaries of these years.
The section Art is opened by an article by E. Goldman about the Golden Age of Yiddish cinema in the USA (1937 - 1940), includes E. Demenok"s articles on Russian -American artists D. Burliuki and S. Sorin, an article by E. Saltsberg About the teacher of Adeli Marcus, the teacher of two generations of American pianists
