Memory occupies a special place in the human psyche: for centuries, it was considered the basis of all knowledge, psyche, personality. Therefore, the psychology of memory should be such a section of general psychology that plays the role of an integrator of all psychological knowledge. In this capacity, it is presented in lectures that contain both traditional-mandatory information about the processes of memory and its structure, historical stages of experimental examination of memory, and rarely discussed in the educational literature, but methodologically fundamental ideas about the phenomenon of memory as a problem of psychology.
