The spirit is considered as a specific dimension of rational and non -rational activity that distinguishes a person from the world of animals. The key idea from which the author emanates and which is sequentially conducted in monographs is the understanding of the human spirit as a holistic system of theoretical and practical spiritual forms of worldview, from among which the focus in the focus is the understanding of the interaction of two genetically and functionally close areas of spiritual culture: philosophy and religion. The study of the chosen topic, carried out in the mirror of historical, philosophical and theological thought, reveals a variety of approaches and assessments that open the moments of both the coincidence and community of these spiritual forces and their discrepancies and confrontations. Attempts to eliminate religion or its replacement with philosophy, as well as the desire to turn philosophy into a kind of religion, are destructive not only for both sides, but also for the life of the spirit as a whole.
