In this book, published during the life of the author, an outstanding scientist, thinker, public figure Igor Rostislavovich Shafarevich gathered his work, as well as a number of performances on the radio in the early 2000s. A somewhat ironic name of the book is also the author’s idea: Shafarevich said that the most timid attempt to perceive Russian history and culture as having meaning and value, as, for example, in the USA, where it is considered simply mandatory in relation to African Americans - if it belongs to the Russians, stigmatizes as "xenophobia" and "extremism".
