The book describes the path of Austria to neutrality from the moment of the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Without the attention of the Austry Austria’s theme by the Third Reich and the Austrian role in the Second World War, the author considers the efforts of the victorious powers for the liberation, denazification, democratization, restoration of statehood and independence of Austria from Germany.
The book presents fragments of previously not published declassified documents from the Russian and Austrian archives, evidence of eyewitnesses with whom the author managed to communicate personally.
The book will be useful not only for experts in the history and practice of international relations, but also for a wide range of readers interested in foreign policy
